In 1976 Eliyahu Paposchado built the Hotel six KM from Eilat and next to Raffi Nelson's village, while the Sinai was under Israeli control. After the peace agreements were signed between the two nations, the hotel and village were to be back to Egypt. Taba back to Egypt 15 March 1989.
