Augustine Hotel, consists of 7 historic buildings, the most important being the 13th century Augustinian St. Thomas Monastery, after which the hotel is named. Several practicing monks still live in a separate part of the monastery. Exclusive tours of the Church’s magnificent 13th century private library are being provided upon request. Original features of vaulted ceilings, frescoes and wooden beams are complemented by Czech Cubist furnishings and papal-inspired colors of reds, purples and greens, giving each of the 101 rooms complete individuality and understated sophistication. There are three distinctly different room categories with a variety of desirable views across, to either Prague Castle, the tranquil, inner courtyard or landscaped gardens.
The four signature suites have been designed to incorporate the character of the spaces they inhabit. Original frescoes adorn the Fresco Suite, while the Tower Suite is located in the former astrological tower, affording it a 360° view over the city. Local Moser crystal glass decorations complement the design of the Moser Suite and an ancient stone fireplace dominates the spacious and sumptuous Presidential Suite.
