Dolffanog Fawr is an 18th century farmhouse that has recently been converted into one of the finest small accommodation establishments in Snowdonia. It is located in the stunning Tal-y-llyn valley with views across sheep pasture to Tal-y-llyn lake and with Cadair Idris virtually rising from the back garden you couldn't wish for a more spectacular setting.

Our 4 ensuite rooms, named after local rivers, are simple yet stylish, neutrally decorated with woollen carpets, local artwork and Melin Tregwynt throws. Large beds with top quality pocket sprung mattresses, crisp Egyptian cotton bedding together with clean welsh mountain air should make for a sound nights' sleep.

We offer a very special dining experience and our breakfasts and evening meals (prior reservation only) make use of the tremendous local produce including Aberdyfi salt marsh lamb, Welsh black beef and on occasions wild Dysynni sea trout.

We also have an extensive good value wine list that has evolved over the years and now features about 100 wines from around the world.

We do not cook on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday nights and all guests are seated together at a large communal table.

Situated in Tal-y-llyn and only 45 km from Aberystwyth Golf Club, Dolffanog Fawr features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Each accommodation at the 5-star guest house has garden views, and guests can enjoy access to a hot tub. Outdoor furniture is available for guests to relax or dine outside.
