La Fiermontina is an urban resort of 16 unique guestrooms and suites built around a 17th century private home in the heart of Old Lecce, known for its Baroque architecture and storied past. Set amid the baroque structures of Puglia’s historic city of Lecce, La Fiermontina is a modern-day masseria that mirrors its storied surroundings. This private retreat makes for a memorable holiday in Puglia. Olive trees surround the swimming pool in the sculpture garden, a rarity in the old quarter and the restaurant offers a modern, light take on traditional Pugliese cuisine.This 17th century house luxury hotel features the traditional pietra di Trani floors and pietra leccese seen in noble homes of the Salento region. Star-pinnacled ceilings enhance the aesthetics in many of the 16 private quarters, each unique and all finished with Italian furniture, custom textiles and organic bath products. Day trips to Santa Maria di Leuca, Ostuni, Alberobello, Gallipoli and Otranto culminate in returns to this stylish sanctuary for Pugliese fare like ciceri e tria with chickpeas, orecchiette alle cime di rapa and for dessert, legendary pasticciotto.
