The hotel, formerly known as Madrid Atocha Affiliated by Meliá and located in the heart of Madrid, has undergone a complete renovation and will reopen under the Meliá Collection brand.

Meliá Hotels International has announced the opening of its first Meliá Collection hotel in Madrid in May. The project is the result of the transformation of the former Hotel Madrid Atocha, Affiliated with Meliá, strategically situated in the renowned Las Letras district of the capital. The hotel, now named Casa de las Artes, Member of Meliá Collection, emphasizes the area's cultural legacy.

Strategically located between Atocha Street, a major thoroughfare in the city center, and the picturesque Moratín Street, known for its antique stores and bookshops, the hotel is a stone's throw away from iconic cultural institutions such as the Prado Museum, Thyssen Museum, and Reina Sofia Museum.

The 137-room hotel is a haven of unique experiences. It features an innovative restaurant-theater concept, where guests can savor exquisite flavors while being part of a live show that unfolds around them. Its common areas include a cozy library, a private cinema room, a landscaped inner courtyard with a glass roof, and a thermal pool for year-round relaxation. Each element is designed to create a memorable stay.

The hotel's transformation was a testament to the visionary work of architect Álvaro Sans and interior designer Adriana Sans, both from the esteemed ASAH studio. The hotel, comprising four interconnected buildings, with the most notable being a palatial structure dating back to 1913, was meticulously redesigned to enhance its architectural value. The project aimed to bring the buildings into the present day, transforming both the use of spaces and incorporating contemporary design elements, setting a new standard in the hospitality industry.
