    1985年6月に2世中村吉右衛門らの出演で第1回が催されて好評を博し、以後、毎年4月に開催されるようになった「こんぴら歌舞伎」。金丸座は江戸時代の芝居小屋で電力を使わないため、同町の商工会青年部員による窓の開閉で明るさを調整し、人力で回り舞台やせりを動かしているそうです。お茶子さんもボランティアが務めています。2016年（第32回）では中村鴈治郎襲名披露公演がおこなわれました。
